TRAD.ATTACK! — dance alone turbo folk-rock band from Estonia.
TRAD.ATTACK! is the shooting star of Estonian folk scene. Since their debut in 2014 the band received seven Estonian Music Awards.
Sandra, Jalmar and Tōnu — three good friends and demanded Estonian musicians: Sandra plays Estonian bagpipe, jew’s harp, saxophone, Jalmar plays 12 string’s acoustic guitar and Tōnu is the drummer and percussionist. And as all Estonians they also sing.
Their tune, “Kooreke” became a hit and was broadcasted at many radio stations around the globe from Latine America till Malaysia, including British BBC channel.
TRAD.ATTACK! takes inspiration from old archive recordings and from the music of today. Folk-Music is their starting point but not their boundary: they remain open in ears, mind and soul to different styles and new directions whilst maintaining their emotional roots-heart.
“TRAD.ATTACK! is like a fireball, like a fresh grapefruit juice, they turn the life on — you should have it every morning!” — Helen Sildna, the head of Tallinn Music Week conference
“TRAD.ATTACK! are a shining example of the future of folk” — Aengus Finnan, the executive director of Folk Alliance International
