
The Veggers is a 4-piece Korean hardcore punk rock band based on punk, hardcore, garage sound. This band is consisted of Lee jun-ho(G/V), Noh soon-gyu(G/V), Yoo sae-woo(B/V), Pyo don(Dr).
As a rookie of Korean punk rock scene, in 2011, they took lots of club auditions at so many live clubs such as Club FF, Club Freebird. At that time, they had so many shows on various stages. With these experiences, they armed themselves with confidence that they can make a blast on any kind of stages. So this enthusiastic young guys took part in a lot of huge festivals and shows and brought about intensive reactions from Korean listeners and musical press.
The Veggers have always been on the stage that was made by rock ’n roll fans. Some huge fans of rock ’n roll music have funded by themselves and invited musicians, they think, who are awesome and can have the stage burnt out. The Veggers has always been invited by those fans with Dead Buttons, Galaxy Express, Vassline, The Geeks and etc.
Moreover, they had their festival stages which had not made by just hardcore or punk rock scene like Il-dan rock festival or Vivid festival of which line-up contained a lot of famous musicians of other genre like hip-hop and K-pop and they proved themselves that they can communicate with not only punk rock fans but also other music fans.
They also have been knocking on doors of international music scene. They are eagerly trying to expand their region of performance to international field with various directions like participating in foreign musicians’ Korea tour like Thee oops from Italy, Crucial section, Blindside and Sete Star Sept from Japan or letting their name listed to the international rock festivals like Korea-Japan Punk Rock Festival and Busan International Rock Festival(2013)
Based on these various activities , they finally released their first full length album “Survival of the fittest (2013)”. This album has been quoted several times by music columnists and press and .evaluated as the most exciting hardcore punk rock album among latest ones. And the next year, they won the Hello Rookie award of June 2014, the biggest band audition for young artists in Korea.
The Veggers vigorously continues to have shows in Seoul and some other cities and raise their reputation among local and international hardcore punk fans.
